Winter weather closure

Friday, January 23 and Saturday, January 24: The library is currently scheduled to be open regular hours. 

Sunday, January 25 and Monday, January 26: Chapel Hill Public Library will be closed due to hazardous winter weather forecasts. All programs are cancelled. If you have items due soon, please hold on to them if possible. For updates on library hours and programs Tuesday and beyond, please check our website and social media.

Event Details

The early voting period for the 2024 general election begins Thursday, October 17th, 2024, and ends at 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2024. Registered voters or eligible individuals in North Carolina may cast an absentee ballot in person during this time. During early voting, voters may cast a ballot at any early voting site in their county, and would-be voters may same-day register and vote. This is different than Election Day, where registered voters must vote at their assigned polling place.
