Winter weather closure

Friday, January 23 and Saturday, January 24: The library is currently scheduled to be open regular hours. 

Sunday, January 25 and Monday, January 26: Chapel Hill Public Library will be closed due to hazardous winter weather forecasts. All programs are cancelled. If you have items due soon, please hold on to them if possible. For updates on library hours and programs Tuesday and beyond, please check our website and social media. 

Free Voter Photo IDs

Event Details

You now need a photo ID to vote in North Carolina. Get a free voter ID from the Orange County Board of Elections at the library. To get a free voter photo ID card, you must provide your name, date of birth, and the last four digits of your Social Security number, and have your photo taken.
