This winter, we're hosting a drive on behalf of PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro to collect food for local families experiencing food insecurity and we’d love for you to join us. From December 5–31, you can drop off non-perishable food donations in the collection box on the main level of the library.
Your donation helps PORCH provide:
Monthly fresh groceries for more than 750 local families
Support for 16+ local food pantries
$24,000 in annual funding for snack programs in Chapel Hill–Carrboro City Schools
PORCH’s vision is to help everyone in our community has access to enough fresh food to lead an active, healthy life. You can learn more about their work, volunteer opportunities, and ways to give at PORCH Chapel Hill-Carrboro. Thank you for helping us support PORCH and spread some kindness this winter.
