Event Details
Celebrate Arbor Day with Trees for the Triangle and discover the lasting impact trees can make in our community. We’ll begin with a hands-on tree planting outside the library, then gather indoors for an engaging program on the importance of native trees. Learn how trees help cool neighborhoods, manage stormwater, and support local wildlife. Our team will demonstrate how to plant and mulch a tree properly, while sharing practical tips for success in your own yard. Participants will also have the opportunity to sign up for a pay-what-you-can tree planting for their yard - an easy way to make a difference right at home. Whether you’re a lifelong tree lover or just curious about how trees contribute to climate resilience, this program is designed to be interactive, fun, and accessible to all ages. Together, we’ll plant seeds of knowledge and action to build a greener, healthier Chapel Hill.
