Event Details

Chapel Hill Public Library and Farewell Earth present a panel discussion on End-of-Life Planning and Emerging Trends in Death Care. Anna Williams of Cedar Grove Law and Hunter Beattie of Endswell will discuss personal, practical, and legal considerations of advanced planning as well environmentally-friendly disposition methods like green burial and aquamation. 

Anna Williams will cover essential aspects of end-of-life planning, including drafting wills, setting up trusts, and understanding the importance of powers of attorney and advance healthcare directives. Hunter Beattie will discuss the history of the modern funeral industry, the carbon footprint of funeral care, and environmentally-friendly disposition methods.
