Sunday, January 25 and Monday, January 26: Chapel Hill Public Library will be closed due to hazardous winter weather forecasts. All programs are cancelled. WE WRITE TO MAKE IT BETTER: The Need for & Diverse YA

Enjoy YA LGBTQ+ voices and stories, read by the authors who write them.

The afternoon will feature conversation and readings from YA authors S. Jae-JonesNita TyndallSarah Van Name, and Jeremy Whitley and will be moderated by the 2024 NC Piedmont Laureate Steven Petrow. Topics discussed may include creating diverse and queer characters, the writing process, and book-banning.
