Program Description

Event Details

Join us for Light, Cameras, Astronomy, a cross-discipline program exploring developments in physics, chemistry, and photography and how they have impacted the arts and our understanding of the universe presented by Reilly Milburn—PhD candidate in Physics & Astronomy at UNC.  Through an art exhibit, presentation, and interactive activities, attendees will learn the physical processes behind how photographic images are created, which stem from the same physical principles that allow astronomers (and other scientists alike) to determine the chemical compositions of matter just from analyzing light itself.

Registration encouraged.
